It's been said many many times before and I'll say it again. Times are tough. Sometimes it can feel like things are never going to be okay. As if the world is crumbling around you or like you've been thrown overboard without a life raft. I don't think anyone gets away from having that feeling at least once in their life. When we get to feeling like that, our hearing goes into a selective mode. We become deaf to those who are trying to comfort us and choose only to listen to those that seem to be trying to tear us down. Sometimes, though, those people aren't really trying to tear us down. Because we're feeling sorry for ourselves, we somehow gain the ability to spin everything little thing into something that hurts us.
Lately in our family times have been bumpy. No matter how many things are thrown our way, though, God has provided for us. Through computer deaths, tuition fees, a pretty serious and very expensive dog injury, a pay cut, and just life in general, we have always made it. Even when things seem unfixable and impossible, He comes through for us.
Though it may be hard sometimes, I know I'm going to be okay. I don't have a reason not to trust that God won't bring me through something because He always has. He has never not come through for me. I don't doubt that he'll always bring me through. Knowing that I can go to Him with even those seemingly pointless problems is a massive comfort to me. It reminds me that in any kind of trial or situation, I'm blessed beyond measure.
"Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will never leave you or forsake you.” ~Deuteronomy 31:6
